After many years at Polarputki Oy Mr. Johan Åkerman has decided to step down from his position as Managing director. The Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Tapio Ingervo, M.Sc. (Economics) as a new Managing Director starting from 1.11.2018.

“Polarputki is a successful and highly respected supplier and partner in the Finnish mechanical engineering industry. I am proud and excited to have the opportunity, together with the Polarputki team to continue and develop the cooperation with both our suppliers and our customers”, says Mr. Ingervo.
Tapio Ingervo has earlier worked as Managing Director for Logset Oy and in leading Sales and Marketing positions at e.g. Ponsse Oyj, Mantsinen Group and Kesla Oyj. During 40 years in Polarputki Mr. Johan Åkerman strongly influenced the company’s success and led it to its development. He will remain as a Senior Advisor during 1.11 – 31.12.2018 in order to allow for a seamless transition. He will retire starting from 1.1.2019.
